I will dominate 'credible fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice unified boxing king Anthony Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - typically recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Opponent

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their physical disparity on show, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is truly going ahead.
